The Winter Wander is a new format sitting somewhere between a classic Lupine race and a more structured tour. Built for people who love the challenge, creativity and social side of our events, but with a little more comfort built in.
Set against the backdrop of Bavaria's wonderful Christmas markets, this event captures the magic of winter travel without the pressure of overnight racing or the hassle of sorting your own mid-race accommodation. We've sorted the beds, so the adventure is yours to create.
Starting in Munich on Thursday 3 December 2026 and finishing back in the city on Saturday evening, The Winter Wander takes you through daily challenges, festive towns, great rail journeys and sociable evenings along the way.
Each day brings a fresh Lupine challenge. Points and times build across the event into an overall leaderboard, with a winner crowned at the final dinner.
Unlike our overnight races, we've sorted the beds. 3-star accommodation included on Thursday and Friday nights. Explore hard, sleep well.

As a smaller, experience-led event the Winter Wander won't feature the large cash or voucher prizes you'll find at our full-size races. There will absolutely still be winners and trophies though, and the top 3 will take home league points, kudos and some locally sourced festive treats!
Classic Lupine races are incredible, but they involve sleeping wherever you can find, navigating through the night and managing every logistical detail yourself. The Winter Wander keeps the things people love most (the challenge, the creativity, the community) while removing the friction that puts some people off. If you've ever wanted to try a Lupine event but weren't sure about the overnight format, this is the one.
