Our first foray into treasure-hunt style point races in Italy, built around the 4-day Italy One Country Pass, with the freedom to plan your own route.
Bounce Italia is our first treasure-hunt style point race in Italy, joining a growing series of regional challenges across Europe. This format is all about freedom, creativity and smart decision-making. You will race between checkpoints scattered the length of the country in any order, with each one offering a different number of points. Sixteen checkpoints plus bonus tasks will be on offer, allowing you to take in a whistle-stop tour and really get to know the region, spotting places you may well want to come back to in the future.
The event is designed around the 4-day Italy One Country Pass offered by Eurail and Interrail, making it easier to budget for your journey. You are also welcome to use other public transport options within the rules if it gives you an edge.

Sixteen checkpoints are spread the length of Italy, each carrying a points value of one to five, with bonus tasks on offer along the way. Plan your route, visit as many as you can, and the entrant with the most points wins.
Tie breaks will be decided by whoever reaches their final score first, not by who crosses the finish line first. There is no rush to cross the finish line early, so you can run your own race right to the end.
Checkpoints are worth one to five points, and the entrant with the highest points total wins. There is a minimum points requirement to officially complete the challenge and earn your finisher's medal, but the real prize is at the top of the leaderboard. Our minimum requirement is deliberately set so that you will not need to race overnight unless you want to, keeping the event accessible. As a by-product of this race covering a larger area than our Benelux Bounce, the travel time between checkpoints is a little longer, making for a slightly more relaxed event.
We also build a points-earning rest mechanism into these events, so it is not all go, go, go. You will get some time to stop along the way anywhere that catches your eye, and still be rewarded for it. Bounce Italia focuses on off-the-beaten-path checkpoints, getting you out to the unseen gems of Italy that most visitors never reach.

Finishing is well within reach for newcomers, while the open scoring leaves plenty of room for the competitive to push for the leaderboard. Every checkpoint sits off the beaten path, so the adventure comes from your decisions and the places you discover, not from the distance.
