• The start line, checkpoints, and finish line must be visited in the order provided.
• You must not use map apps.
• The web pages unlocked by riddles given throughout the race will detail the specific evidence needed to prove you have visited each checkpoint.
• You must follow the invigilation requirements to complete the challenge.
• Any illegal activity will result in immediate disqualification (e.g., all train tickets must be purchased, and wild camping is prohibited).
• You can rely on kindness and call in favours for support in cities, accommodation and financial resources. You cannot be driven long distance between cities as a favour. The normal rules below still apply.
Teams
• You must enter as a team of two.
• Due to the nature of the event, only people over 16 years old can take part. 16 and 17 year olds must take part with a parent or guardian.
• Teams must stick together and complete all elements of the challenge as a pair.
• We must have contact details for both members of the team.
Travel Between Cities
• This is a public transport-based event and not a car rally.
• Hire vehicles are not allowed.
• Hitchhiking is not allowed.
• Tickets/receipts must be kept as proof of travel to be considered for awards.
• To keep the challenge fair, public transport discount cards cannot be used.
Travel Within Cities
• Taxis and other forms of private hire transport are allowed, including rental bikes/e-bikes/e-scooters.
• Public transport is allowed.
• If you wish to bring personal transport such as a folding bike, skateboard, or rollerblades for travel within a city, this is allowed.
Conduct
• Knowingly providing others with inaccurate information (or taking any action that seeks to disadvantage another racer) will be penalised and may lead to disqualification.
Close Finish Rules
• If it becomes apparent there is going to be a very close finish, the Race Director may distribute extra rules to handle the circumstance.
